Format Cells Button

Click the button to display the Format Cells dialog, which is used to specify the format for the selected cell(s). A format is a group of formatting options that you can save with an assigned name for future use. Formats can be assigned to numbers as well as text. See Formats - Overview for further details.

Use the Number tab to specify the display format of the selected cell(s). Use the Alignment tab to choose the vertical, horizontal, and orientation alignment of text/numerical values within each cell. Use the Font tab to specify the font, size, color, and certain stylist effects (i.e., bold, italic) of the selected cells. Use the Border tab to select the style and color of the cell borders.
