Variable to use as sample identifier
|
This selection box displays the standard
Select variable dialog box, where you can select an optional
Sample ID variable to label the X-axis of the control charts and for identification of alerts. If you do not make a selection or if the selected
Sample ID variable is invalid, the sequential index of the sample will be used.

Variable to use as group by

This selection box displays the standard
Select variable dialog box, where you can select a variable to group by.
|
Use Characteristic Label info
|
Select this checkbox to use
Characteristic Labels in the analysis. If the checkbox is checked, any of the following variable properties found will be used as input for the
QC analysis:
- Characteristic Label
- Cause
- Action
- Include
- Comment
|
Use Y-Axis Min/Max/Step variables
|
Select this checkbox to use Y-Axis Min/Max/Step values defined by the input data.
|
If the checkbox is selected:
|
If matching *_YMIN, *_YMAX, or *_YSTEP (where '*' is the name of the characteristic) variables are found, the graph will use the last valid numeric value in those variables to define the Y-axis sizing.
If one or more of the above variables are not present or not valid, the analysis will use default axis and scaling values.
If the checkbox is not selected, the analysis will use default axis and scaling values.

Highlight samples
|
This dropdown list allows you to define how samples should be highlighted by changing the value for N or by defining selection conditions for highlighting samples.
|
Options for Highlighting:
|
- Turn off
- Define by the last N number of samples
- Define by selection condition
- Define by the first N number of samples
|
N samples to highlight
|
Use this miniscroll to select the number of N samples to highlight.
Note: The minimum allowed value for N is 0, in which case no samples will be highlighted.
|
Selection condition for highlighting samples
|
In this
Edit Text Control box enter the selection condition to be used to subset the input data and then highlight these subset cases or sample points.
If the chart was Individuals and MR then each case represents a sample (since individual observations are the actual sample points).
- For
X-Bar and R charts, we will use the
Sample ID variable, such as a variable to use as sample identifier and highlight only the samples in the
Sample ID column that are brought back in the subset data after applying the selection conditions.
|
Highlight annotation
|
This Edit Control box allows you to define a foot note title to define why the samples were highlighted.
