Tree Clustering Results - Quick Tab

Select the Quick tab of the Tree Clustering Results dialog box to access options to create homogenous groups based on continuous variables. See the Cluster Analysis Results topic for descriptions of the options in the right pane of the dialog box. Those options are available regardless of which tab is selected.

Element Name Description
Number of clusters The number of clusters entered in this box affect the Variable Importance output, the Cluster Members spreadsheet created via the Save Classifications option, the model encoded in Rapid Deployment, and the Descriptive Statistics.
Specify clusters by brushing Click the Brush button to display the Dendrogram in a stand-alone window with a vertical line. Move the vertical line and click OK to populate the Number of clusters field on the Quick tab in addition to the tree graph with the vertical line output.
Dendrogram Click this button to produce the Dendrogram.
Rectangular branches This check box is selected by default. The Dendrogram is created with rectangular branches.
Scale tree to dlink/dmax Select this check box for the tree plot to be scaled to a standardized scale. When the check box is cleared, the graph will be unscaled.
Save Classifications Click this button to create a spreadsheet of each case along with the cluster membership and any selected variable from the input data set, including those not selected for the analysis.
Heatmap Click the button to produce a Heatmap, where individual values are represented as colors.
Heatmap w/Tree Click the button to produce a Heatmap and a tree plot, which will be displayed side by side.
Var. Importance Click this button to produce a spreadsheet of variable importance based on predicting cluster membership via the CART algorithm.
Var. Importance Click this button to create a graph of variable importance based on predicting cluster membership via the CART algorithm.
