Select an Effect
Click the Observed means with SE button or any of the LS means buttons on the Means Comparisons tab of the Variance Estimation and Precision Results dialog box, or click the Residual vs. selected effect button on the Residuals tab of the Variance Estimation and Precision Results dialog box to display the Select an effect dialog box. Use these options to select the effect for the respective analysis.
- Observed/LS Means
- When accessed from the Means Comparisons tab, this dialog box lists all the estimable effects for which means can be calculated. Select the effect you want to use, and click OK to generate the appropriate plots and spreadsheets. Click Cancel to return to the Variance Estimation and Precision Results dialog box without calculating means. Note that the Dependent variable field indicates the response variable that will be used for calculating the means.
- Residuals
- When accessed from the Residuals tab of the Variance Estimation and Precision Results dialog box, this dialog box lists all the estimable effects included in the analysis (both fixed and random effects are listed). Select the effect you want to use, and click OK to generate a 2D scatterplot of the residuals by the selected effect. Click Cancel to return to the Variance Estimation and Precision Results dialog box without generating the scatterplot. Note that the Dependent variable field indicates the response variable that will be used for calculating the means.
