Method of Categorization - Categories

Enter the desired number of categories in the edit box to the right of this option. The program will divide the entire range of values of the selected variable (from minimum to maximum) into the requested number of equal length intervals. Cases with values of the selected variable that belong to each interval will compose one category. When you select this option, the Change Variable button in this box allows you to select a different variable whose values will be categorized in the graph.
