Searching for and Analyzing Designs with Two-Level Factors - Search For Design Tab

Select the Search for design tab of the Searching for and Analyzing Designs with Two-Level Factors dialog to access the options described here.

Number of factors (min=3, max=127)
The value in the Number of factors box specifies the number of factors, k, for the 2(k-p) design. The minimum number of factors is 3, and the maximum number of factors is 127.
Number of runs (min=4, max=2048)
The value in the Number of runs box specifies the number of experimental runs (or cases, observations) for the 2(k-p) design. The minimum number of runs is 4 (or 22) and the maximum number of runs is 2048 (or 211). The number of runs for a two-level fractional factorial design must be a power of 2; specifically, there are 2(k-p) experimental runs in a 2(k-p) fractional factorial experiment. Click (up or down) on the microscrolls to change the value in the Number of runs box to the next (higher or lower) power of 2.

Number of blocks (min=1, max=64). The value in the Number of blocks box specifies the number of blocks for the 2(k-p) design. The number of blocks in a fractional factorial experiment must be a power of 2. The minimum number of blocks is 1 (or 20) and the maximum number of blocks is 64 (or 26). Click (up or down) on the microscrolls to change the value in the Number of runs box to the next (higher or lower) power of 2.

Generate design in Box, Hunter, & Hunter order
Select the Generate design in Box, Hunter, & Hunter order check box to generate the design in the order recommended by Box, Hunter, and Hunter.
