Format - Cases - Cloak

Ribbon bar. Select the Format tab. In the Cases group, click Cloak to set the row height of the selected case(s) to 0 and hide the case(s) in the data set.

Classic menus. From the Format - Cases submenu, select Cloak to set the row height of the selected case(s) to 0 and hide the case(s) in the data set.

Note: Cloaked rows are merely hidden from view in the data set. They continue to exist in all other aspects and are independent of the spreadsheet selection conditions; that is, all rows - including cloaked ones - are used when running analyses. Also note that cloaked cases in a spreadsheet are indicated by black lines between uncloaked case names, as shown in the spreadsheet, below, where cases between T. Leiker and K. French are cloaked.
Option Description
Copy, paste, and delete with cloaked cases When a block of cells that includes cloaked rows and columns is copied, the cloaked cells are not included in the copy operation. Only the values that are displayed in the spreadsheet are copied to the Clipboard. In the same manner, if you select a range of cells that includes cloaked cases and delete that block of values (example, press DELETE or CTRL+X), only the values you can see are cut from the spreadsheet, not the cloaked cases. However, selecting Cases from the Edit - Delete submenu remove all cases in the selected range from the spreadsheet, cloaked and uncloaked. Note that when pasting data into a block, the data is pasted into the cells of the spreadsheet regardless of the cell height or width; therefore, you can paste new data into cloaked cells.
Changing the case state of cloaked cases Options for changing the case state of cloaked cases are provided on the DataAuto Filter submenu. To omit cloaked cases from all computations by changing their case state to Excluded, select Mark Cloaked Cases Excluded. Although the cases are not used in computations (example, fit lines), they are still displayed in graphs. To hide the cloaked cases in graphs while still including those cases in all computations, set the case state to Hidden by selecting Mark Cloaked Cases Hidden.
