Rules Builder Overview
Every organization has rules that govern its behavior. These rules may exist because of physical limitations, cultural practices, and/or regulation.
Consistently applying rules can be a challenge. Rules Builder aids in the consistent application of an organization’s rules for analysis. Rules can easily be created, saved, shared, and re-used.
Rules Builder provides a transformation step for analysis and reporting. User-defined rules are created, sequenced, and saved. Then, rules are executed and evaluated for each case of the input spreadsheet. The resulting transformations are displayed in an output spreadsheet.
There are several different options available when defining rule steps:
- General spreadsheet transforms
- Execution of PMML models defined in Statistica Enterprise Server
- Conditional expressions if/elseif/else
- Other rules saved in Statistica Enterprise Server
The default view of the Rules Builder is a tree view, that provides the means to visualize the conditional expressions structure.
