Optimal Split Plot Design - Model Tab
Select the Model tab of the Optimal split plot design dialog box to access the options described here. The model specified here will be optimized by the D-Optimal split plot design algorithm.
- Qualitative factors
- Use the options in the Qualitative factors group box to specify the qualitative effects to be included in the model.
- Main Effects
- When the Main Effects option button is selected, the model will only contain main effects.
- 2-way interactions
- When the 2-way interactions option button is selected, the model will include main effects and two-way interaction effects.
- 3-way interactions
- When the 3-way interactions option button is selected, the model will include main effects, two-way interaction effects, and three-way interaction effects.
- Quantitative factors
- Use the options in the Quantitative factors group box to specify the quantitative effects to be included in the model.
- Linear main effects only
- When the Linear main effects only option button is selected, the model will only contain linear main effects.
- Lin./quad. main effects.
- main effects. When the Lin./quad. main effects option button is selected, the model will only contain linear and quadratic main effects.
- Linear main eff. + 2-ways.
- When the Linear main eff. + 2-ways option button is selected, the model will include linear main effects and two-way interaction effects.
- Lin./quad. main eff. + 2-ways.
- main eff. + 2-ways. When the Lin./quad. main eff. + 2-ways option button is selected, then the model will include linear and quadratic main effects and two-way interaction effects.
- Ignore some effects
- Click the Effects to ignore button to produce a general user entry spreadsheet, which contains a list of all factor effects and interactions in the current model. Highlight the factors or interactions that you want to ignore.
