Nonlinear Estimation Evaluating the Fit of the Model - Plot of Observed vs. Predicted Values

It is always a good idea to inspect a scatterplot of predicted vs. observed values. If the model is appropriate for the data, then we would expect the points to roughly follow a straight line; if the model is incorrectly specified, then this plot will indicate a non-linear pattern.
