General CHAID Analysis Wizard--Extended Options - Quick Tab

Select the Quick tab of the General CHAID Analysis Wizard--Extended Options dialog box to access the options described here. For a description of the Variables and Between effects options, refer to the description of the Quick Specs dialog box - Quick tab.

Element Name Description
Response codes Click this button to display the Select codes for the categorical response dialog box. Use these options to specify the groups (classes) for classification problems when the dependent variable of interest is categorical in nature. If no codes are specified, STATISTICA will automatically determine the groups (classes) found in the dependent  variable.
Factor codes Click the Factor codes button to display the Select codes for indep. vars (factors) dialog box, which is used to select the codes identifying the levels for the categorical predictor variables (grouping variables). Codes must be integer values or text labels (but can be dates, times, etc.), and at least two codes must be specified for each categorical predictor variable. Note that this option is available only if categorical predictor variables (grouping variables) are specified for the current analysis.
