How much disk space is necessary to perform database management operations?

Statistica creates temporary and backup files so that you can revert to the original data file after file editing.

Thus, in order to edit a data file, Statistica needs at least twice as much free disk space as the size of the file to be edited. More disk space is necessary if you perform large-scale editing operations (such as, changing large blocks) on very large data files.

For the Undo function, Statistica needs to store multiple copies (up to 32) of the modified sections of data. Some operations (such as import/export) use intermediate scratch files, so they may need additional space.
