Gage Capability - Analyze Data File Tab

Select the Analyze data file tab of the Gage capability dialog box to access the options described here.

Variables
Click the Variables button to display the standard variable selection dialog box in which you specify:
  1. The variable that contains the code numbers (or text labels) uniquely identifying the operator to which each data point (measurement) belongs;
  2. The variable that contains the code numbers (or text labels) uniquely identifying the trial to which each data point (measurement) belongs;
  3. The variable containing the measurements.
Codes: (for operators & trials)
Click the Codes: (for operators & trials) button to display the standard multiple code selection dialog, in which you specify the actual codes that were used to uniquely identify each measurement with respect to operator and trial.

Nominal value: Specify the nominal value for which the gage capability specs will be computed.

Gage tolerance: Select the Gage tolerance check box to specify the gage tolerance that will be used in the subsequent gage capability calculations.

If the Gage tolerance check box is not selected, you will need to specify a lower gage limit and an upper gage limit.

Lower gage limit
 Specify the lower gage limit.
Upper gage limit
 Specify the upper gage limit.
