This group box contains options for estimating variance.

Estimate sigma (Sigma-hat) from

 The Estimate sigma (Sigma-hat) from group box contains options for estimating sigma. Select the appropriate option button to specify if you want to estimate Sigma from either the Ranges, Standard Deviations, or Variances of the values in each group. The Estimate sigma from group box is only available if you selected a grouping variable.

Estimate between-sample variability from

The Estimate between-sample variability from contains two options. Select the appropriate option button to specify if you want to estimate between-sample variability from either the range of sample means or the mean squared error from the ANOVA.
