Tetrachoric Correlation

This statistic is also only computed for (applicable to) 2x2 tables. If the 2x2 table can be thought of as the result of two continuous variables that were (artificially) forced into two categories each, then the tetrachoric correlation coefficient will estimate the correlation between the two. It is commonly used in Reliability Analysis.
