Review Descriptive Statistics - All Cases Tab

Select the All cases tab of the Review Descriptive Statistics dialog box to access the options described here. Use these options to review a comprehensive collection of descriptive statistics across groups.

Total covariances & correlations
Click this button to produce a spreadsheet with the overall covariances, and another spreadsheet with the overall correlations. These covariances and correlations are computed in the usual manner, that is, collapsed across all groups. A particularly useful Graph of Input Data for these spreadsheets is again the scatterplot which is constructed in the usual manner.
Plot of total correlations
Click this button to produce a scatterplot matrix for the selected independent variables from the analysis. A standard variable selection dialog box will first be displayed, in which you select the variables.
Box plot of means
Click this button to produce a box and whisker plot for the selected variable(s). Note that this is a graph of each selected variable, collapsed across all groups. A standard variable selection dialog box will first be displayed, in which you select the variable(s). Next the Box-Whisker Type dialog box will be displayed, in which you select the type of box and whisker plot. In order to graphically compare groups, choose the Box plot of means by group plot or the Categorized histogram by group option (via the Within tab).
Note: median and quartiles. After selecting the Box plot of means button and after selecting variable(s) for the plot, the Box-Whisker Type dialog box will be displayed. If you select to compute the Median/Quart./Range box and whisker plot, the median and quartiles values will be computed according to the setting of the Computation of Percentiles option in the Options dialog box - Analyses/Graphs: Limits tab. For more information, see Percentile Calculation Options in STATISTICA.
