3D Scatterplots - Advanced Tab

Graphical Analytic Techniques

Select the Advanced tab of the 3D Scatterplots Startup Panel to select from a variety of graph types. Here, you can specify the deviation level, the number of panes in spectral plot, and whether to use multiple subsets of the data.

Variables
Click the Variables button to display a standard variable selection dialog box, in which you can select the x-, y-, and one or more z-axis variables for the graph. The selections made will be displayed below the Variables button.
Graph Type
Select the type of 3D scatterplot to be plotted from the Graph Type list. Click the desired plot link below for a brief description of that type of graph.
Scatterplot Deviation Plot
Space Plot Trace Plot
Spectral Plot
Statistics
Select the Multiple r(z/xy) check box to include the multiple correlation in the footnote of the graph.
Deviation Level
(Applicable to Deviation plots and Space plots) Specify a value on the z-axis that determines the level from which deviations are derived; or in the case of Space plots, this value determines the Z-level of the X-Y plane.
Number of Planes
(Applicable to Spectral plots) Specify the number of spectral planes into which the data are segmented (compressed).
Mark Selected Subsets
When you click this button, the Specify Multiple Subsets dialog box will be displayed, in which you can specify selection conditions that will subset (i.e., categorize) the cases in one plot. For more information, see Mark Selected Subsets.
