Matrix Plots

Creates matrix plots for all variables. You can select to compute square or rectangular matrices of scatterplots, line plots, etc. Various types of lines can be fitted to the scatterplots.

Element Name Description
General
Graph type Specifies the type of graph.
Missing data deletion Missing data can be deleted pairwise (on a plot-by-plot basis) or casewise (i.e., a case will be deleted from all plots if it has missing data for any of the selected variables).
Single variable summary Specifies the type of graph to display in the diagonal of all square matrices, and along the margins of all rectangular matrices; these graphs provide descriptive summaries for the variables in the plot.
Fit type Creates a fit (model) for the 2D scatterplots or line plots.
Common scales Applies common scaling to all individual graphs in the matrix plot.
Histogram categorization Specifies the method of categorization for the histograms included in the matrix plot.
Number of categories Specifies the number of categories for the histograms of continuous variables; this option is only applicable if the Histogram categorization method is set to Number of categories.
Detail of computed results reported Specifies the level of computed results reported. If All results is requested STATISTICA will also compute and report Correlations and p, and the Regression Equation.
