Auto Format Cells
The
Auto Format Cells dialog box is displayed when you enter data into a spreadsheet cell using a format that is recognized as a valid format in the
Display format section of the
Variable Specs dialog box (example, Time, Date, Currency). Use these options to apply the format to the individual cell or to the whole column, or to add a text label.
Option | Description |

Format Column | Applies the format that you just entered into the spreadsheet cell to the entire column (variable). After you click this button, the Format Cells dialog box is displayed so you can select the correct Display format. |
Format Cell | Applies the format that you just typed into the spreadsheet cell to the individual cell in which it was entered. After you click this button, the Format Cells dialog box is displayed so you can select the correct Display format. |
Add Text Label | Adds a text label to the value. See Notes on Text Labels and Text Values for more information. |
Cancel | Closes this dialog box, and then you can change the entry in the spreadsheet cell. |
