Workspace Node: Subset - Specifications Tab
The Subset workspace node can be accessed from the Feature Finder, ribbon bar, or Node Browser. Double-click the node to display the specifications dialog box.
This node uses the input combination of variables, expressions, and lists to create a filter that creates an output spreadsheet containing only the data described by these inputs.
Subset Variables. Click this button to display a standard variable selection dialog box, where you can select the variables that will be present after the subset.
Include cases. Use the options in this group box to specify which cases to include in the analysis.

All | Select this option button to include all cases in the analysis. |
Specific, selected by | Select this option button to include cases in the analysis that satisfy the conditions in the Expression box or the or case number box. Note that it is possible to enter conditions in both these boxes. |
Expression | Enter new or edit existing case selection condition expressions. See Case Selection Conditions Syntax Summary for information on how to properly specify case selection expressions. |
or case number | Include a specific subset of cases in your case selection conditions. You can enter case numbers and/or a range of case numbers separated by commas.
Exclude cases (from the set of cases defined in the 'Include cases' section). Use the options in this group box to exclude cases from the analyses that satisfy the conditions in the Expression or the or case number boxes. |
Expression | Enter new or edit existing case selection condition expressions. See Case Selection Conditions Syntax Summary for information on how to properly specify case selection expressions. |
or case number | Use this box to ensure that the case selection conditions are not applied to a specific subset of cases. You can enter case numbers and/or a range of case numbers separated by commas.
