View - Refresh Preview Data

By default, Query automatically displays in the graphics pane a “preview” of the data that would be retrieved by the query that is under development. Because the preview process could be slow or even impossible (e.g., developing a query against a database schema that is not currently accessible), a command is provided to disable the automatic preview. If an error is encountered while attempting to generate a preview, the automatic preview feature may be switched off by STATISTICA as well.

When the automatic preview is switched off, you can select the Refresh Preview Data command to cause the query under development to be executed and the result displayed in the preview pane.
