Modification of Synonyms

Click the Edit synonym file button on the Filters tab of the Text Mining dialog box to display the Synonyms dialog box. Use these options to modify the list of terms or words that are to be treated as synonyms in the analyses.

Note: General format for synonyms in the synonym file. In general, the file containing the user-defined synonyms should have the following format:

WordA : SynonymA1, SynonymA2, SynonymA3, ...

WordB : SynonymB1, SynonymB2, ...

The word or term to the left of the colon is the one that will be shown in the Text Mining Results dialog box; however, during indexing, all terms or words to the right of the colon will be counted as instances of the word or term to the left, i.e., as synonyms of that word.
