PLS Results - Save Tab

Partial Least Squares (PLS)

Select the Save tab of the PLS Results dialog box to access options to display various observational statistics, such as predicted and residual values, factor scores, etc. These are the same statistics computed by the options on the Observational tab. For additional details about the computations involved in PLS, see the Introductory Overview or Partial Least Squares (PLS) Index.

Element Name Description
Save residuals Click the Save residuals button to display a standard variable selection dialog box, in which you select variable(s) to be displayed together with the residual values. After you select the variable(s), a spreadsheet containing the specified variable(s) along with the residual statistics will be displayed in an individual window (regardless of the settings in the Options dialog box - Output Manager tab or the Analysis/Graph Output Manager dialog box). You can, however, add the spreadsheet to a workbook or report using the or buttons, respectively. Note that in order to save the spreadsheet, you must select the spreadsheet and select Save or Save As from the File menu. This is useful if you want to use the residual values for further analyses with other STATISTICA modules.
Save predicted Click the Save predicted button to display a standard variable selection dialog box, in which you select variable(s) to be displayed together with the predicted values (see also the Predicted values option on the Observational tab). After you select the variable(s), a spreadsheet containing the specified variable(s) along with the predicted values will be displayed in an individual window. See Save residuals (above) for further details.
Save scores Click the Save scores button to display a standard variable selection dialog box, in which you select variable(s) to be displayed together with the factor scores (see also the Scores option on the Observational tab). After you select the variable(s), a spreadsheet containing the specified variable(s) along with the factor scores will be displayed in an individual window. See Save residuals (above) for further details.
Save data Click the Save data button to display a standard variable selection dialog box, in which you select variable(s) to be displayed together with the raw data (see also the Raw Data option on the Observational tab). After you select the variable(s), a spreadsheet containing the specified variable(s) along with the raw data will be displayed in an individual window. See Save residuals (above) for further details.
