Process Analysis - General Algorithms and Formulas
- For a description of sampling plans, refer to Duncan (1974) or Montgomery (1985).
- Process capability analysis is explained in Bhote (1988), Hart and Hart (1989), Pyzdek (1989), and ASQC/AIAG (1991); the various non-normal distributions available in the Process Analysis module are described in Evans, Hastings, and Peacock (1993), and Hahn and Shapiro (1967), (see also Davis and Stephens, 1983, Gruska, Mirkhani, and Lamberson, 1989, and Hill, Hill, and Holder, 1976.
- The derivation of normal tolerance limits is explained in Hald (1952), and the derivation of distribution-free tolerance limits is explained in Duncan (1974) and Montgomery (1991).
- The concepts of reproducibility, repeatability, and precision are discussed in ASQC/AIAG (1990), Duncan (1974), Grant and Leavenworth (1980), Montgomery (1991), and Pyzdek (1989).
- Weibull and reliability/failure time analysis is described in Dodson (1994) and Nelson (1990).
