D- and A-Optimal Designs - Candidate Points Tab

Select the Candidate points tab of the D- and A-Optimal Designs dialog box to access the options described here.

Variables
Click the Variables button to display a standard variable selection dialog box, in which you select the variables from the data file that contain the list of candidate points.

Note: Repairing designs. If you want to enhance an existing (e.g., already completed) design, first specify the candidate list by using the Variables option (see above). Then use the Display and modify candidate points option (see below) to mark the points that you want to "force" into the final selection of points.

Display and modify candidate points
Click the Display and modify candidate points button to produce the List of Candidate Points for Optimal Design spreadsheet containing the list of candidate points. Use this spreadsheet to modify the list of candidate points and mark points for forced inclusion (enter an I in the last column of the spreadsheet). See also, General User Entry Spreadsheet.
Add N points; N
If you want to add points to the list of candidate points, first enter the number of points to add in the Add N points; N box, and then click the Display and modify candidate points button (see above). This appends the desired number of blank rows to the end of the existing candidate list, where you can enter the values for additional points.
