WS Node: Stability Analysis - General Tab

The Stability Analysis workspace node must be imported into the Node Browser.

Double-click the node to display the Stability Analysis specifications dialog box. The General tab is displayed by default. See also, Stability Analysis Workspace Node Overview and Stability Analysis Workspace Node Example.

Element Name Description
Boundary type This option is only applicable if both lower and upper spec limits are defined.
Either This is the default setting. Both lower and upper spec limits are used. Two-sided p-values and confidence or prediction intervals are calculated.
Decrease Only lower spec limit is used. One-sided p-values and confidence limits are calculated.
Increase Only upper spec limit is used. One-sided p-values and confidence intervals are calculated.
Interval type Select from the drop-down list to specify the interval type on which the shelf life estimation will be based.
Confidence This is the default setting. Confidence intervals are calculated.
Prediction Prediction intervals are calculated.
Specify conf/pred bands as a multiple of sigma Select this check box to specify the conf/pred bands as a multiple of sigma. When the check box is cleared (by default), the corresponding level of conf/pred bands need be specified in the Confidence/prediction level field.
Confidence/prediction level Enter the level for the confidence/prediction intervals used in estimating shelf life. By default, 95% intervals are computed.
Multiple of sigma Enter the number (2.5 by default) of the multiple of sigma to define the width of conf/pred bands. This option is only applicable when the Specify conf/pred bands as a multiple of sigma check box is selected.
Interval for shelf life Coarse calculated shelf life will be truncated to the nearest lower integer that is a multiple of this interval. Predicted values, and associated confidence or prediction intervals, will be displayed at this interval.
Minimum no. of time points per study Any batch with fewer time points than specified here will not be included in the shelf life calculation or other output calculations. Running such an analysis will result in an error message indicating insufficient data points if  the Interrupt analysis if at least one study fails data check check box on the Advanced tab is selected.
Select by group variable You can specify a variable from the input data to act as a by group variable. Enter a name or click the Select button. Separate stability analysis results will be produced for each unique value in this by group variable.
OK Click this button to accept any changes you have made and exit this dialog box.
