Data Mining - Data Mining - Workspaces - Data Miner - General Neural Network Explorer - Multilayer Perceptrons Project

  1. Select the Data Mining tab.
  2. In the Tools group, click Workspaces.
  3. From the General Neural Network Explorer submenu, select Multilayer Perceptrons Project to display a project workspace (template) with a single Multilayer Perceptron node.

This Neural Networks architecture is  flexible and powerful for both classification and regression problems (such as for predicting categorical and continuous variables). The project can be further augmented to include other Neural Networks architectures (nodes), additional Multilayer Perceptron nodes with different parameter settings, or any of the nodes available in Statistica Data Miner.

See Data Mining with Statistica, especially the topic Structure and User Interface of Statistica Data Miner for additional details.

To use the prearranged project as-is:

  1. Select a data source.
  2. Specify one or more continuous and categorical dependent variables.
  3. Connect the input data to the Multilayer Perceptron node.
  4. Run the project.
