How do I select variables for an analysis?

Every analysis definition dialog in Statistica contains at least one Variables button that is used to specify variables to be analyzed. You can click the button (or press V). If you forget to specify variables and click the OK button to start the analysis, Statistica prompts you to specify the variables to be analyzed. The variable selection dialog box that is displayed supports various ways of selecting variables, and it offers various shortcuts and options to review the contents of the datafile.
