Workbook - Tab Control - Tab Length

You can access the Tab Control - Tab Length function in the following ways:

  • Ribbon bar: Select the Workbook tab. In the Tools group, click Tab Control and from the menu, select Tab Length to display the Workbook Tab Length dialog box.
  • Classic menus: From the Workbook - Tab Control submenu, select Tab Length to display the Workbook Tab Length dialog box.

Use these options to specify the maximum length of the tabs displayed in the workbook viewer. Statistica truncates the names on the tabs when the names are longer than the value given here. By default, the tab length is 64.

Note: You can also access this option by right-clicking on any item in the workbook tree and selecting Tab Control - Tab Length from the Workbook Tree shortcut menu.

Workbooks store each output document, for example, a Statistica Spreadsheet or Graph, or a Word or Excel document) as a tab. You can easily navigate the children of the node currently selected in the workbook tree using the tabs provided in the workbook viewer. The commands on the Workbook - Tab Control menu specify where the tabs are placed and whether they are contained in a single, scrollable row or multiple rows. Note that these commands are for the current workbook only. To make global changes to the workbook tab orientation and maximum character length, access the Documents: Workbooks tab of the Options dialog box (accessible by clicking Options on the Tools tab or menu).
