Select the Factors for the Plot (2D Plot of Loadings)

Principal Components and Factor Analysis

Click the Plot of loadings, 2D button on the Factor Analysis Results dialog box - Quick tab or Loadings tab to display the Select the factors for the plot dialog box. This dialog box is displayed only if there are three or more factor loadings. You can control the maximum number of factors through the Define Method of Factor Extraction dialog box - Quick tab.

Note: This dialog box (with the name Select Two Factors for the Plot) is also displayed when you click the Plot factor coordinates, 2D button on the Advanced Principal Components Classification Analysis Results dialog box - Variables tab or the Advanced Principal Components Classification Analysis Results dialog box - Cases tab. In that case, select the factor axes that you would like to use for the factor coordinates plot.

    1. Select the two factors you want to plot, and click the OK button to display the 2D scatterplot of factor loadings. The points in the scatterplot represent individual variables and are labeled with their respective names.
    1. If the labels overlap, double-click any variable label to display the Point Labels dialog box, in which you can access the option to adjust the font size used to label the points, as well as other options.

Cancel

Click the Cancel button to return to the Factor Analysis Results dialog box.
