Workspace Node: Text Mining - Specifications - Characters Tab
In the Text Mining node dialog box, under the Specifications heading, select the Characters tab to access options to further specify characteristics of valid words or terms (permissible letters and the positions in words where they occur); use also the options on the Filters tab and Words tab to "fine-tune" the selection of words included and indexed for the final analysis.

| Element Name | Description |

| Body | Specify the set of permissible characters that can be included in valid words. Words that contain characters not in this list will not be indexed and will be excluded from the analysis. |
| First letter | Specify the set of permissible characters that can begin valid words (that can be the first letters in those words). Words that begin with characters not contained in this list will not be indexed and will be excluded from the analysis. |
| Last letter | Specify the set of permissible characters that can end valid words (that can be the last letters in those words). Words that end with characters not contained in this list will not be indexed and will be excluded from the analysis.
