Select Specifications to be Saved

Click the Save As button in the Results dialog box or the Save specs button on the Specs tab to display the Select specifications to be saved dialog box.

Chart specs and layout. Under Chart specs and layout, select the check boxes corresponding to the types of specifications you want to be saved in a specifications file (file name extension *.ini).

Specs for X (MA, EWMA, etc.) chart (center line, UCL/LCL, etc.).
). If this check box is selected, all specifications on the respective chart results dialog box will be saved, i.e., specifications for the center line, control limits, moving average line, etc. See also the Introductory Overview for additional details.
Specifications for R/S-chart (center line, UCL/LCL, etc.).
This option is only available if the current chart includes an R or S chart, for example, when you want to save the specifications for an X-bar and R chart. If this check box is selected, then the respective specifications for the variability chart will be saved.
Specifications for short run charts
This option is only available if the current chart is a short run (by-group) chart. If this check box is selected, then the specifications for the short run chart (see the Parts tab) will be saved.
Options for control charts (i.e., settings in Options dialog).

The setting of this check box determines whether the respective chart options will be saved; the chart options are those specifications that can be selected in the Options dialog box. Those options control, for example, the number of titles in the charts, whether or not capability indices and runs tests will be computed, etc.
Options for runs tests (i.e., settings in Runs Test dialog).
, settings in Runs Test dialog). The setting of this check box determines whether respective runs test options will be saved. The runs test options are those that can be selected in the Runs Tests for Control Chart dialog box. For a description of the runs tests (or tests for special causes) refer to the Introductory Overview.
Specifications/tolerances for process capability computations
The setting of this check box determines whether the specifications for the capability indices will be saved (type of specification limits, upper and lower specification limits, etc.). Those specifications can be set in the Specifications for Capability Analysis dialog box. Note that this option is not available if this dialog box was called from an attribute chart results dialog box (e.g., from the results dialog for a P chart or C chart).
Type and on-screen location of results spreadsheets and graphs
Note that this check box is available only if this dialog box is displayed via the Save as option in the Results dialog box. If selected, the file (with all specifications to recreate the chart) will also contain the necessary information to recreate all results spreadsheets and graphs currently on the screen.
