Edit Format - Font Tab

Select the Font tab of the Edit Format dialog box (or the Format Cells dialog box) to access the options described here.
Option Description
Font In the Font box, type or select the font you want to use.
Size In the Size box, type or select the point size, in points, that you want to use. Note that 72 points equals 1 inch.
Style/Effect In the Style/Effect group box, select the Bold, Italic, Strikeout, and/or Underline check boxes to apply a specific font style or effect to the text.
Text Color Click the Text Color box to display a palette of available colors from which you can select the text color.
Background Color Click the Background Color box to display a palette of available colors from which you can select the background color.
Preview The Preview field displays sample text that is formatted according to the choices you have made on the Font tab.
Blend When formats for background color are applied to overlapping regions, the background colors are blended when this check box is selected. This could occur when a colored row intersects a colored column.
Include Font features in the format When you clear the Include Font features in the format check box, all of the settings on this tab are removed. When you select any of the options on this tab, this check box is automatically selected.
