Workspace Node: K-Means Clustering - Specifications - Quick Tab

The K-Means Clustering workspace node can be accessed from the Feature Finder, the ribbon bar, or the Node Browser. The Specifications - Quick tab is displayed by default when you open the specifications dialog box.

Element Name Description
Variables Click this button to display a variable selection dialog box, in which you select variables for the analysis.
Cluster The Cluster box contains two options: Variables (columns) and Cases (rows). The option you select determines how Statistica interprets the selected Variables.
Variables (columns) If Variables (Columns) is selected, Statistica interprets the selected Variables as objects.
Cases (rows) If Cases (rows) is selected, Statistica interprets the selected Variables as dimensions.

MD deletion. Missing data can be deleted Casewise or by Mean Substitution depending on the selection in this group box.

Casewise If this option button is selected, only cases that do not contain any missing data for any of the variables selected for the analysis will be included in the analysis.
Mean substitution If this option button is selected, missing data will be replaced by the means for the respective variables (for this analysis only, not in the data file).

OK Click the OK button to accept all the specifications made in the dialog box and to close it. The analysis results will be placed in the Reporting Documents node after running (updating) the project.
