Layout for Multiple Plots
When more than one row or column is included in your selection, you can decide how you want to plot each row or column.
Data
If you access this box directly while creating a graph interactively from a block of data, the option setting is pre-determined by your choice of the Custom Graph.
The options in this group box can be changed only when the dialog box is accessed from the Customize Graph Menu dialog box.
Options:
- Graph of Selection by Columns
- Graph of Selection by Rows
- Graph of Entire Columns
- Graph of Entire Row
In other words, these options apply when you are creating a new user-defined custom graph (template) or editing an existing user-defined custom graph.
Then, you can choose one of the creation methods listed in this group box.
- To use only the values in the highlighted selection, choose either Graph of Selection by Columns or Graph of Selection by Rows. Statistica will create a plot for the highlighted values in each column or row, respectively.
- To use an entire column or row of values for each column or row in the highlighted selection, choose either Graph of Entire Columns or Graph of Entire Rows. Statistica will create a plot for all the values in the selected columns or rows, respectively.
Add to Graph menu List
Use this option to save a template of the choices made on this dialog to the list of graphs that can be selected for blocks of highlighted data. For example, to create a scatterplot with histograms for the selected block of data:
- Select the Add to Graph Menu List check box.
- Click OK to produce the graph. The New Style dialog will display, where you can type in a name for the new type (style) of graph from block data.
- Name it My custom bivariate plot.
The next time you want to create a graph of block data, you can simply select this type of plot from the Graphs of Block Data menu:
To edit or delete custom options in the Graphs of Block Data menu, use the Customize List option at the bottom.
Enable Prompt for Dialog
This option is applicable only if you select the Add to Graph Menu List check box (described above).
If both options ( Add to Graph Menu List and Enable Prompt for Dialog) are selected, when you choose your custom graph from the menu, an options dialog box for that graph will display.
