Interrupted Time Series ARIMA (Intervention Analysis) - Review Impact Patterns Tab

Select the Review Impact Patterns tab of the Interrupted Time Series ARIMA dialog box to access options to review the impact patterns for the series.

Element Name Description
Review type of impact pattern Click the Review type of impact pattern to display a graph with details that correspond to the type of intervention selected (see below).
Type of intervention The Type of intervention box contains three options, described here and in more detail in impact patterns.
Abrupt, Permanent An abrupt permanent abrupt impact pattern simply implies that the overall mean of the times series shifted after the intervention; the overall shift is denoted by ω (omega).
Gradual, Permanent The gradual permanent impact pattern implies that the increase or decrease due to the intervention is gradual, and that the final permanent impact becomes evident only after some time.
Abrupt, Temporary The abrupt temporary impact pattern implies an initial abrupt increase or decrease due to the intervention which then slowly decays, without permanently changing the mean of the series.
Delta parameter Enter a value in the Delta parameter box for the Delta parameter you wish to review. Note that the Delta parameter box is only available if the Gradual, Permanent or Abrupt, Temporary impact pattern is selected.
