Ranking

This node computes and creates a new output data spreadsheet with ranking of all selected variables in each variable list.

Dependent; Cont
Element Name Description
Apply ranking to Specifies whether to perform ranking for a specified subset list of variables only (within this list of continuous dependent variables). Note that case selection conditions, if they exist, will always be applied before ranking the selected variables.
Assign rank 1 to Specifies order of ranking.
Ranks for ties Specifies handling of ties.
Rank type Specifies the type of rank to perform.
Subset of variables; from This option is only applicable if the ranking is to be performed for selected variables only. Specify the first variable in the range of variables in the list of continuous dependent variables for which to perform the ranking. Specify a number that will be interpreted as the index to the list of continuous dependent variables; for example, if you specified '3', then the ranking will be performed starting with the third variable in the list of continuous dependent variables (and not with variable number 3 in the original data file).
Subset of variables; to This option is only applicable if the ranking is to be performed for selected variables only. Specify the last variable in the range of variables in the list of continuous dependent variables for which to perform ranking. Specify a number that will be interpreted as the index to the list of continuous dependent variables; for example, if you specified '3', then the ranking will be performed for the third variable in the list of dependent variables (and not up to variable number 3 in the original data file).

Subset

Element Name Description
Subset variables downstream This node will create a data spreadsheet for further subsequent analyses. You can either create a subset of the variables, retaining only those that were selected for the analyses (select Yes), or you can 'carry along' all variables from the original input data source. In all cases, existing case selection conditions will be applied.
