3D Sequential Graphs
3D Sequential Graphs offer a selection of methods to visualize in 3D space, simple sequences of values, or statistical summary of information about groups or subsets (frequencies, ranges, distributions). STATISTICA offers a variety of 3D sequential graphs, such as Raw Data Plots (to plot sequences of raw data from selected variables), Bivariate Histogram (to visualize cross tabulations of values in two variables via three-dimensional histograms), Range Plots (to plot 3D coordinates based on the ranges of the values of the selected variables, e.g., one variable contains the minimum range values and another variable contains the maximum range values), Box Plots (to create box plots, where the ranges of values of a selected variable are plotted separately for groups of cases defined by values of a categorical (grouping) variable) etc.
These graphs are available from the Graphs menu. When the 3D Sequential Graphs are generated, STATISTICA automatically takes into account the current Analysis/Graph Case Selection Conditions and Analysis/Graph Case Weights conditions for the variables selected to be plotted.
All STATISTICA graph customization facilities can be used to change the appearance of the graph or integrate it with other graphs or documents. Also, all integrated analytic facilities that are accessible from within graphs in STATISTICA (such as function fitting, smoothing, rotation, brushing, analytical zooming, etc.) are available and can be applied to the graph regardless of the source of the numbers in the graph or the method that was used to create it.
