Moving Cases

Unlike the Clipboard operations of cutting and pasting the contents of a highlighted range or block of values in the spreadsheet, this option removes both the contents of the rows and the rows itself (regardless of whether or not all variables or only a subset of variables are currently highlighted for the respective cases) and insert the cases in the designated position in the spreadsheet, thus the size of the file remains the same. You can move one or more cases (rows) in the spreadsheet by designating the range (inclusive) of cases to be moved and the location (case to insert after) in the Move Cases dialog box.
