Customizing STATISTICA - Interactive User Interface
STATISTICA offers facilities to define entirely new user interfaces including the Internet browser-based user interfaces. However, also practically all aspects of the default, interactive user interface can easily be adjusted in a variety of ways. For example, you can either add to the default options, simplify them, or keep changing them as your needs change. Depending on the requirements of the tasks to be performed as well as your personal preferences for particular "modes" of work (and aesthetic choices), you can suppress all icons, toolbars, status bars, long menus, workbook facilities, drag-and-drop facilities, dynamic (automatic) links between graphs and data, 3D effects in tables, and 3D effects in dialog boxes; request "bare-bones" sequential output with simple, paper-white spreadsheets and monochrome graphs; and set the system to automatically maintain no more than one simple report at a time (see the left panel on the illustration, below);
or alternatively, you could define elaborate local and global toolbars; take full advantage of all special tools and controls, icons, toolbars, macros (e.g., assign particular tasks to specific new menu options, toolbars, or keys), elaborate multimedia tables, workbook facilities, and drag-and-drop facilities; establish multiple dynamic (automatic) links between graphs and data and internal links between graphical objects; customize the output windows with colors, special fonts, and highlights; adjust the default graph styles and their display modes; and send the results to separate hierarchically organized workbooks to create an elaborate, "multi-layered" data analysis environment that facilitates the exploration of complex data files and allows you to compare different aspects of the output (see the right panel on the illustration, above).
