Text Free Separators

Click the Additional button in the

Text Free Import Options

dialog box to display the Text Free Separators dialog box when you want to choose an undefined character as a delimiter when importing text free format files.

Option Description
Separators Contains a list of characters from which you can choose. The characters or symbols listed in this dialog box are as follows ( CR/LF stands for carriage return/line feed):

<space>  <tab>  <CR/LF>

!  "  #  $  %  &  ' (  )  * +  ,   -  .  /

0  1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9

:  ;  <  =  >  ?  @  

Upper case alphabet (i.e., A  B  C . . . Z)

[  \  ]  ^  _  `

Lower case alphabet (i.e., a  b  c . . . z)

{  |  }  ~

Note: If you want to import numeric values, you should not specify any of the numbers (such as 0 through 9) or the  +, -, or . as separators.
OK Accepts the options selected and returns to the

Text Free Import Options

 dialog box.
Cancel Closes the dialog box without selecting an additional character as a separator.
