Data Configuration: Data Configuration Properties

Right-click on a folder in the tree view and select New Data Configuration to display the Data Configuration Properties options in the properties page.

Name
Enter or edit the name of the Data Configuration in this box.
Description
Enter or edit a description in this box.
Version
This window displays any previous versions of this Data Configuration that may exist. Note: This option will only be active with a Statistica Enterprise product configuration that supports versioning/history of configuration objects (e.g., the Statistica Enterprise Compliance Edition).

Versions... Click this button to select a previous version of the Data Configuration. That version of the Data Configuration will be checked out and checked back in as the latest version. Note: This option will only be active with a Statistica Enterprise product configuration that supports versioning/history of configuration objects (e.g., the Statistica Enterprise Compliance Edition).

Connection
Select the Database Connection you want to use. If the Database Connection is not available from the drop-down list, you can either create it using Database Connection in the Tree View or by using the New button described below.
New
Click this button to display the Data Link Properties dialog box to create a new Database Connection.
Queries
This window lists any SQL Queries that currently exist for this Data Configuration.
New
Click this button to create a new SQL Query by displaying the New Query options in the properties page.
Edit
Click this button to edit an existing SQL Query by displaying the Query View options in the properties page.
Delete
Click this button to delete an existing SQL Query.
Options
Click this button to display the Data Configuration Options dialog box, where you can specify that text columns or variant columns will be defined as a Type = Text variable.
System View Placement
This window shows the current placement (i.e., to what folder(s) it's attached, if any) of the current Data Configuration in the System View. Attachments to multiple folders are permitted.

Attach... Click this button to display the Select a folder dialog box. The user can then attach the Data Configuration to an existing folder.

Detach
Click this button to detach the Data Configuration from the selected folder.
Locate
Click this button to show the selected folder to which this Data Configuration is attached. The System View  Node in Tree View will expand (if necessary), and the cursor will briefly 'flash' between highlighting the folder to which the Data Configuration is attached and the Data Configuration itself.
Explore
Click this button to run the current Data Configuration, retrieving the data as defined by the respective Database Connection and Queries. Note that, in the resulting Explore Data spreadsheet, the CreateDate is shown in Local time and the LastModifiedDate is shown in UTC (coordinated universal time).
Explore specific version
Click this button to explore a specific version of the Data Configuration where multiple versions exist. Note: This option will only be active with a Statistica Enterprise product configuration that supports versioning/history of configuration objects (e.g., the Statistica Enterprise Compliance Edition).

Access Permissions. Click this button to display the Access Permissions View options in the properties page.
