Review Descriptive Statistics - Matrix Tab

Select the Matrix tab of the Review Descriptive Statistics dialog to access options to produce the correlation matrix as a standard Statistica matrix spreadsheet. To review descriptive statistics, use the Quick tab or the Advanced tab.

Matrix
Click the Matrix button to create a correlation matrix spreadsheet (i.e., correlations for variables specified via the Variables option). The matrix spreadsheet will be created as a spreadsheet in a stand-alone window with four additional cases at the bottom of the data file, which identify it as a matrix spreadsheet (see Matrix file format). You can, however, add the spreadsheet to a workbook or report using the

buttons, respectively. In order to save the matrix spreadsheet, select the matrix and select either Save or Save As from the File menu. Statistica will then detect that the spreadsheet is in this special matrix form and set the default file extension to .smx. This makes it easier to distinguish the file later.
