Right-click a folder in the tree view and select New Label to display these options in the properties page.
In StatisticaEnterprise, labels are used by Data Entry Setups to store:
- supplementary information that will be associated with SPC data,
- the values from which users will select when prompted for causes and actions, and
- the possible defects for attribute data entry.
Users with Data Entry Administrator (EDE) or System Administrator (SADM) permissions can access the Label options from Statistica Enterprise Manager. Supplementary information is defined as data that are related to the measurements collected but are not used for SPC analyses. For example, each circuit board that a company manufactures may be labeled with a unique serial number. This serial number is a piece of supplementary information that can be collected and associated with the stored measurements taken on each circuit board. Later, for analytic purposes, the manufacturer can use Statistica Enterprise Manager to filter by serial number and focus its attention on a specific range of circuit boards. Supplementary information in Statistica Enterprise Manager is stored as a label. A piece of supplementary information can be associated with each object measured (a Piece label) or each sample collected (a Sample label). An example of a Piece label is the above-mentioned circuit board serial number. A lot number that a sample of measurements share is an example of a typical Sample label. To begin defining the supplementary information to be collected, right-click on the Labels node in the tree view and select New Label (or select an already-existing label) to display the Labels options in the properties view. Name. Enter or edit the name for the Label in the Name box. Label Type. Select the option button adjacent to the type of label you are defining.
