Improve Button
The goal of the Improve phase is to implement solutions that address the problems (root causes) identified during the previous (Analyze) phase. Shortcuts are provided to the following modules and analytic facilities:
Quality Control Charts
Select
Quality Control Charts from the
Improve menu to display the Startup Panel of the
Quality Control Charts module.
SixGraph Summary
Select
SixGraph Summary from the
Improve menu to display the
Defining Variables for X-bar and R Chart dialog of the Quality Control module; after specifying the respective variables and chart parameters, a SixGraph Summary Graph is produced.
Frequency Tables
Select
Frequency Tables from the
Improve menu to display the Frequency Tables dialog in the Basic Statistics/Tables module.
Histogram
Select
Histogram from the
Improve menu to display the
2D Histograms dialog.
Pareto Chart
Select
Pareto Chart from the
Improve menu to display the variable specifications dialog for the Pareto chart of the
Quality Control module.
Process Capability
Select
Process Capability from the
Improve menu to display the Process Capability Analysis Setup - Raw Data dialog in the Process Analysis module.
Experimental Design
Select
Experimental Design from the
Improve menu to display the Startup Panel of the Experimental Design module.
Six Sigma Calculator
Select
Six Sigma Calculator from the
Improve menu to display the Six Sigma Calculator. The
Six Sigma Calculator is an extension or special case of the Probability Calculator for the normal distribution; instead of the normal distribution z and p, the
Six Sigma Calculator expects as input either Sigma or DPMO (defects per million opportunities), and will compute each quantity from the other.
Stratification Analysis
Select
Stratification Analysis from the
Improve menu to display the Statistics by Groups (Breakdown) dialog of the Basic Statistics/Tables module.
Stratification Charts
Select
