Measure Button
The goal of the Measure phase of the Six Sigma strategy is to gather information about the current situation, to obtain baseline data on current process performance, and to identify problem areas. Shortcuts are provided to the following modules and analytic facilities:
Descriptive Statistics
Select
Descriptive Statistics from the
Measure menu to display the Descriptive Statistics dialog of the Basic Statistics/Tables module.
SixGraph Summary
Select
SixGraph Summary from the
Measure menu to display the
Defining Variables for X-bar and R Chart dialog of the Quality Control module; after specifying the respective variables and chart parameters, a SixGraph Summary Graph is produced.
Missing and Out of Range Data
Select
Missing and Out of Range Data from the
Measure menu to display the Missing and 'Out of Range' Data Plots dialog.
Box and Whisker Plot
Select
Box and Whisker Plot from the
Measure menu to display the 2D Box Plots dialog.
Gage R & R
Select
Gage R & R from the
Measure menu to display the Repeatability & Reproducibility Analysis dialog of the Process Analysis module.
Sampling
Select
Sampling from the
Measure menu to display the Sampling Plans dialog of the Process Analysis module.
Power Analysis
Select
Power Analysis from the
Measure menu to display the Startup Panel of the Power Analysis module.
Process Capability
Select
Process Capability from the
Measure menu to display the Process Capability Analysis Setup - Raw Data dialog in the Process Analysis module.
Distribution Fitting
Select
Distribution Fitting from the
Measure menu to display the Process Capability Analysis Setup - Raw Data dialog in the Process Analysis module; use the options on the
Distribution tab to fit various distributions, and to identify the distribution and parameter values that provide the best fit.
Frequency Tables
Select
Frequency Tables from the
Measure menu to display the
Frequency Tables dialog in the Basic Statistics/Tables module.
Time Series Plots
Select
Time Series Plots from the
Measure menu to display the Startup Panel of the Time Series module.
