Insert Object
You can access the Insert Object dialog box in the following ways:
- Ribbon bar. When a graph is displayed, select the Insert tab. In the OLE group, click Object to display the Insert Object dialog box. When a spreadsheet is displayed, select the Edit tab. In the Insert group, click OLE Object to display the Insert Object dialog box.
- Classic menus. On the Insert menu, select Object to display the Insert Object dialog box.
| Option | Description |

| Create New | Select the Create New option button to create a new object to insert into the spreadsheet. |
| Object Type | When the Create New option button is selected, select the object type to insert from the list of those available in the Object Type box. |
| Create from File | Select the Create from File option button to insert an existing object into the spreadsheet. |
| File | When the Create from File option button is selected, you can type a path and file name of the location of the object in the File box. |
| Browse | When the Create from File option button is selected, you can click the Browse button to search for the desired file. |
| Link | When the Create from File option button is selected, you can select the Link check box to ensure that the inserted file is updated in both the spreadsheet and in the original location. |
| Display As Icon | Select the Display As Icon check box to show an icon in the spreadsheet instead of the actual contents of the object. |
| Change Icon | When the Display As Icon check box is selected, you can click the Change Icon button to display the Change Icon dialog box, which is used to modify the icon that is displayed in the spreadsheet. |
| Result | The Result field gives a brief explanation of what Statistica will do based on the current options selected in the Insert Object dialog box. |
| OK | Click the OK button to insert the object into the spreadsheet. |
| Cancel | Click the Cancel button to exit this dialog box without inserting any objects. |
