SPC Charts - Alarm Management

Use this tab to define the following parameters:

Element Name Description
Log alarm information Select this checkbox to define whether alarm information must be logged to the CSCustomAlarm table, defined by the administrator in Statistica Database.
  • For Individuals charts, if a valid Sample ID variable is not defined, the option uses the sequential sample ID in the generated alarm spreadsheet.
  • Each alarm will only be logged one time.

    EXAMPLE: Multiple entries will not appear in the alarm table for the same type of alarm.

New alarms only Select this checkbox to include only newly logged alarms in alarm emails and alarm results spreadsheet.  When the checkbox is left unchecked, both existing and new alarms that are generated in alarm emails and alarm results spreadsheet will be included in outputs.
  • Just the newly logged alarms
  • All new and previously logged alarms in the generated alarm outputs.  

    NOTE: Alarms will only considered as new if the option in the previous Log alarm information checkbox is selected.

Admin email address This text box allows you to enter semi-colon separated admin email addresses to send notifications of any configuration, processing or data errors. If the box is blank, no admin email will be sent.
Alarm email address This textbox allows you to enter semi-colon separated email addresses to notify that alarms have been triggered. The alarm message contains a QC graph showing the points in the alarm and the alarm results spreadsheet showing the Sample points and Control Limits that triggered the alarm. If the field is left blank then no alarm email will be sent.
Include graph in alarm email Select this checkbox to include a graph of the control chart in the generated alarm email body.
Alarm email subject In this edit control box, format of the Alarm email subject.
  • The following editable text displays by default: Control Chart Alarm - <Analysis Configuration>.
  • Replace <Analysis Configuration> with the name of the analysis configuration that was run.
Alarm email body In this edit control box, define the HTML format for the Alarm email body.
  • The following editable text display by default: <H1><Analysis Configuration></H1><BR>The Statistica control chart analysis has found an alarm when running.<BR>Please review the list of alarms below:<BR><Alarm Table>.
  • Replace <Analysis Configuration> with the name of the analysis configuration that was run.
  • Replace <Alarm Table> with the name of the table containing a list of generated alarms.
  • The email body will also contain the Control Chart, if the Include graph in alarm email checkbox is selected above.
Report hyperlink This edit control box allows you include a report hyperlink to the alarm report in the email body.
  • The following editable text displays by default:  <a href=<Hyperlink To Report>>Alarms Report</a>
  • Replace <Hyperlink To Report> with an appropriate hyperlink to a generated report.
  • By default the hyperlink will appear as "Alarms Report" in the email body.
