How it Works

The TIBCO Cloud™ Integration for Salesforce uses Smart Map to map the fields between a specific Salesforce object, to fields in an external cloud-based (SaaS) target such as Marketo. The Smart Map defines the mapping.

You select an event to activate the Smart Map whenever a change is made to the data in the Salesforce object (the source). Once the event occurs, TIBCO Cloud™ Integration for Salesforce connects to and modifies the information in the external SaaS destination object.

For example, if you change a customers telephone number in the Salesforce Customer object, you can make that change in the Marketo Lead object (in your SaaS target), by using Smart Map to update the Contact field.

Smart Map technology learns and improves each time you map fields so that subsequent results are better and faster.

Before You Begin:

  • To set up a connection to a cloud-based (Saas) target, you will need to know the:
    • Client ID,
    • Base URL,
    • and the Client Secret.
  • Once you allow access to a destination target such as Marketo, you can configure multiple connections for that target.
Note: Not all Saleforce objects are available for mapping.
