Basic Tab
Amazon S3
To connect to the Amazon S3 file system adapter, set the following properties in the basic tab of the New Data Source connection window:
 
Field
Description
Data Source Name
The name of the data source.
URL
A URL to connect to the physical data source.
Access Key
The key used to sign the requests you send to Amazon S3.
Secret Access Key
Like the Username/Password pair you use to access your AWS Management Console, Access Key Id and Secret Access Key are used for programmatic (API) access to AWS services. You can manage your Access Keys in AWS Management Console
End Point Region
The Region where the Amazon S3 storage belongs to.
Assumed Role Name
Assumed Role Names are used by AWS to denote the role assumed by the account used to access the AWS resources. A user account may assume multiple roles and each role is granted different access privileges.
Azure Data Lake Storage
To connect to the Azure Data Lake Storage file system adapter, set the following properties in the basic tab of the New Data Source connection window:

Description
Data Source Name
The name of the data source.
URL
A URL to connect to the physical data source.
Application/Client ID
Application/Client ID is the ID created when registering your application in the Microsoft active directory. You will need this to connect to the Azure Data Lake storage.
Client Secret
This is the secret string that the application uses to prove its identity when requesting a token. You will need this to connect to the Azure Data Lake storage.
Local File Storage
To connect to the Local File Storage file system adapter, set the following properties in the basic tab of the New Data Source connection window:
